Association for Rhenish and Westphalian Folklore

The Association for Rhenish and Westphalian Folklore dealt with folklore and regional studies in the Rhineland and Westphalia . The seat of the association was Elberfeld . It was founded in 1903. The chairman of the meeting was Alfred Wiedemann , the secretary was Otto Schell , and the first chairman was Paul Sartori .

Under the editorship of Paul Sartori, Otto Schell, Karl Wehrhan and Karl Prümer , the journal of the Association for Rhenish and Westphalian Folklore (ZRhWestfVk) was published by Baedeker between 1904 and 1933. It was continued in the West German magazine for folklore (WestdZVk) published by Martini und Grüttefien from 1934 to 1936, and Josef Müller and Karl Schulte Kemminghausen were also among the other editors .

Closely related publications are the Rheinisch-Westfälische Zeitschrift für Volkskunde and the Westfälische Zeitschrift .
