Rhineland Party

The Rhineland Party - The European Federalists (RP) was a German regional party in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was founded in Bonn in 1992 as a spin-off from the CDU after the decision had been made that the Federal Government and Bundestag would move to Berlin . The party had about 1,000 members, mostly former CDU members. In addition to withdrawing the decision to move, the party's goals were a multicultural society and direct democracy . The chairman was Hermann Gebertz .

The RP had contacts with the Hamburger Statt party as well as with the community of voters of the Bürger Bund Bonn, which was also founded as a result of the move . She ran for the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1995 , but only received 2,757 votes and thus 0.03%.
