The Rhin is a right tributary of the Elbe in the Kremper Marsch .

The Rhin arises in Glückstadt from the confluence of the Kremper Rhin and Herzhorner Rhin and thus drains a larger part of the marshland there. It flows through two locks (Kleine and Große Rhinschleuse) as well as a pumping station into the Glückstadt outer harbor and thus ultimately into the Elbe.
