Rhododendron und Immergrüne is a German-language magazine first published in 2006 . The German Rhododendron Society (DRG) is the publisher. The journal contains specialist articles and results from botanical science with a focus on the genus Rhododendron as the only German-language specialist journal and serves the members of the DRG as a news and communication organ. Rhododendron und Immergrüne appears twice a year and is distributed to the members of the DRG and placed in specialist libraries. Since 2006, the journal has replaced the DRG publications Rhododendron and evergreen deciduous trees - yearbook and evergreen leaves, which had been published until then .

history

From 1938 to 2006 the German Rhododendron Society published the yearbook Rhododendron and Evergreen Deciduous Trees. Since 1960, the DRG has also published the publication Immergrüne Blätter once and later twice a year .

As of 2006, both publications were merged and have since appeared twice a year under the name Rhododendron and Immergrüne .

Conception

With the renaming and merging in 2006, the layout and format were also changed. In terms of content, each issue is divided into the categories of technical articles, short reports from our members, messages from the DRG and From the Rhododendron Park Bremen, dates, book reviews, sales, abstracts and abstracts.

In the technical articles u. a. Reports on expeditions to the worldwide rhododendron habitats printed, research reports on genetic characteristics, historical and current breeds, problems and solutions with pests, fungal infestation, representations of special collections of trees with a focus on rhododendrons and evergreen deciduous trees, reports on conferences, plant descriptions.
