Rhyd Ddu , also Rhyd-Ddu [ r̥ɨdˈðɨː ], is a village in north Wales in Snowdonia National Park . The place has a station of the Welsh Highland Railway . It is known for the Rhyd Ddu Path and as the birthplace of the poet TH Parry-Williams .
