Riachuelo is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located on the territory of the Department of Colonia in its southern part in sector 1 . Riachuelo is located a few kilometers from the coast of the Río de la Plata and around eight kilometers east of the departmental capital Colonia del Sacramento on the Arroyo Riachuelo in the middle of the Cuchilla Riachuelo .
Infrastructure
The route 1 runs north of the village , to which Riachuelo is connected via route 50 , which runs through the village .

The place had 144 inhabitants at the 2004 census.
