Richard Schönfeld Prize

The Richard Schönfeld Prize for literary satire is a sponsorship prize awarded every three years by the Hamburg Cultural Foundation .

He was led by Dr. Dorothea Liebeskind donated. With this award, the donor honors the memory of her father Richard Schönfeld , who was a socially committed local civil servant who was persecuted by the National Socialists and deported to the concentration camp . Mockery and satire , the weapons of the oppressed, helped him to endure his fate with dignity.

Nationally outstanding publications in the field of literary satire are recognized with € 10,000. A five-member jury will propose the winner.
