House no.12 was built in 1913 and, together with neighboring house no.14 and corner house no.18, is part of a remnant of the original development on the northern section of Richard-Wagner-Strasse. It is a peculiar five-storey and exceptionally narrow (two-axis) building that is used as an apartment building. Since the building is an extraordinary individual structure in Mönchengladbach, it is in the public interest to be protected.
