Richard Crevenna

Richard Crevenna is an Austrian specialist doctor and professor of physical medicine .

Life

Richard Crevenna assigned the subject areas "Physical Medicine" and "Medical Rehabilitation" at MedUni Vienna. Since 2014 he has chaired the "Disability Advisory Board".

Scientific contribution

Crevenna's research focuses primarily on oncological rehabilitation, an area in which he did fundamental work in Austria - his working group trained the first patients under chemotherapy in Austria and the first patients with bone metastases worldwide - as well as topics from physical medicine, rehabilitation, pain medicine, shock wave therapy and biofeedback as well as gender and diversity aspects, all of this in interdisciplinary and multi-professional cooperation .

  • Two Peter Fässler-Weibel Young Investigator Prize from the Austrian Academy for Oncological Rehabilitation and Psycho-oncology (ÖARP),
  • Numerous poster prizes from the Austrian Society for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ÖGPMR, from 2000 to 2018) and several times the Young Scientist Prize from the ÖGPMR.
  • Prize from the Mayor of the City of Vienna for a project on the subject of “Migrants with Breast Cancer”.
  • In addition, the Veronika Fialka Moser Diversity Prize 2018 (2nd place, “Engagement” category).
