Richard Ellis (biologist)
Richard Ellis (born April 2, 1938 ) is an American marine biologist . He is a research fellow at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and was a US delegate to the International Whaling Commission .
Ellis also works as a painter and writer. He has published articles and books on marine animals .
