Richard Kühnel

Richard Nikolaus Kühnel (born June 3, 1969 in Graz ) is an Austrian EU official . From 2008 to 2014 he was Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Austria . On June 1, 2014, he took over the management of the Representation of the European Commission in Germany . On September 1, 2019, he will move to Brussels as Director of the Directorate-General for Communication.

Life and work

Kühnel studied law with a focus on European and international law at the University of Graz .
