Richard Lounsbery Foundation

The Richard Lounsbery Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to advancing the United States' national superiority in technology and science. It was founded in 1959 by Richard and Vera Lounsbery. Operations began in 1980. In the 1980s, the foundation's assets were valued at $ 22 million. The foundation was primarily dedicated to biomedical research . Since July 2002 the organization has been led by President David M. Abshire .
