The Richthof is a single-storey four-wing complex with ashlar plastering in Billerbeck , built in 1820 . The building on Mühlenstrasse, surrounded by a moat, is the successor to a much older facility. Instead of the prince-bishop's court, which was first mentioned in 1217, a castle was built here in 1445. By receiving city rights, Billerbeck got a city judge. As a result, the name "Richthof" became common for the Biscopinghof over the years . The remains of the castle tower and cellar vaults have been preserved.
