Rico Cathomas

Rico Cathomas (* 1967 in Laax , Switzerland ) is professor for educational sciences at the Free University of Bozen (I). He completed a degree in general education , educational psychology and applied psychology at the University of Freiburg and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD. Research stay at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin .

He is a lecturer and teacher trainer for general didactics, multilingualism didactics and group leadership. Research and development focus in the areas of immersion, multilingualism and implementation / evaluation of teaching materials. Cathomas is also the scientific director of the project "Introduction of the standard language Rumantsch Grischun in the Romansh-speaking schools of the Canton of Graubünden" and the project "Steps into multilingualism" in the Ladin valleys of South Tyrol.
