Rico Glagla (* 1974 in Wittenberg ) is a German disabled athlete.

Sports career

The athlete Rico Glagla from Bad Düben is a paraplegic wheelchair user. Despite his disability, he is one of the German top performers in the disciplines of discus, javelin and shot put. Rico Glagla has been German champion in discus throw several times. Because of his achievements, he joined the German team for the 2004 Paralympics in Athens. There he won a silver medal in the discus throw and a bronze medal in the shot put in the performance group F 52.

For his success at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Koehler on March 16, 2005.
