Rico Meinhardt

Rico Meinhardt (* 1975 / 1976 ) is a former German football player .

career

Meinhardt first played football with the Dresden Monarchs . From 1997 he was a player for the Hamburg Blue Devils and was used in defense. In 2001, 2002 and 2003 he was German champion with Hamburg, in 1998 he won the Eurobowl with the team . At the same time he was active in the marketing of the Blue Devils. His brother Toni was his teammate in Hamburg for years, his father Horst was a speed skater, and later the athletic trainer of the Dresden Monarchs and the Hamburg Blue Devils. Rico Meinhardt played in Hamburg until 2007.

With the German national team, Meinhardt was second in the European Championship in 2000 and European Champion in 2001.
