Rico Simen is a Swiss curler .
Simen made his international debut at the Junior World Championships in Kitchener in 1980 , but he remained without a medal.
Simen played as the lead of the Swiss team at the XV. 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in curling. Skip Hansjörg Lips' team won the Olympic silver medal after a 2:10 defeat in the final against Norway for Skip Eigil Ramsfjell . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at the time, the medal has no official status.
