Riders in the Sky is an American western music band whose music is rooted in the tradition of the singing cowboys of the 30s and 40s, especially the band Sons of the Pioneers . The band sings both classic cowboy material as well as their own compositions, which are often characterized by a large dose of humor, but without making the genre laughable. In keeping with her musical heritage, her style is characterized by polyphonic harmony singing and sophisticated yodels .

history

The band was founded in 1977 by Green, LaBour and Bill "Windy Bill" Collins, who was replaced by Chrisman a short time later. In 2001 Miskulin joined the trio.
