Ridge Island is an island reminiscent of a mountain ridge ( English ridge ) , which is about 5 km east of the Pourquoi Pas Island in the middle of the Bourgeois Fjord off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula .
It was discovered and descriptively named by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill .
