Riepe is a district of the municipality of Vahlde in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony .
geography
Riepe is located three kilometers northwest of Vahlde and three kilometers east of Lauenbrück, directly south of the Bremen-Hamburg railway line . The place forms an exclave separated from the rest of the municipality by the municipality of Lauenbrück .
To the northwest lies the Kinderberg and Stellbach Lowland nature reserve .
history
In 1754 the bog body from the Rieper bog was found three kilometers north of the village .
For the year 1848 it is stated that Riepe belonged to the Vahlde farmers and had seven houses with 42 inhabitants.
