The Rifle Creek Reservoir is a reservoir in the northwest of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located on Rifle Creek , a tributary of the Leichhardt River , about 28 km south of Mount Isa .
The reservoir is owned by the Australian mining company Mount Isa Mines .
