from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rigpa ( Tib . : Rig pa ; skt . : Vidya ) actually " intelligence ", is a term that is used in Dzogchen , a tradition of Tibetan Buddhism , and can be translated as "innermost nature of the mind". In contrast to the ordinary mind, Sems (discursive thinking, differentiating, judging, understanding, spirit), whose activity according to the Buddhist understanding consists of projecting onto incorrectly perceived reference points, Rigpa is the original, pure awareness, the intelligence, which is beyond all limitations takes place and through which one can come to the state of omniscience and enlightenment.
