Rimantas Basys

Rimantas Bašys (born February 7, 1951 in Rudiškiai , Joniškis Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician, member of the Seimas .

Life

After graduating from the Julius Janonis Middle School in Šiauliai in 1968, he graduated from 1968 to 1970 and from 1972 to 1976 with a degree in radio engineering at the Faculty of Radio Electronics at the Politechnikos institutas in Kaunas . From 1970 to 1972 he did compulsory service in the Soviet Army . From 1972 to 1974 he was a worker at Šiauliai Airport . From 1974 he worked at Šiaulių televizorių gamykla . From 1995 to 2004 he was the general director of "Gegė", from 2004 to 2008 a member of the Seimas and from 2011 to 2015 of the council of the Biržai district .

He is a member of the Darbo partija .

He is married. He and his wife Birutė have daughters Kristina, Jovita and Rimantė.
