The Automóvil Club de El Salvador (ACES) (German: Automobilclub El Salvador ) is the national automobile club and motorsport association in El Salvador . The association is a non-profit organization and represents the interests of motoring and motorsport . The head office is in San Salvador .
history
In 1968 the automobile sport association Asociación Deportiva automovilística (ADA) was founded. To internationalize the association, the El Salvador Automobile Club (ACES) was founded in 1971, which also did pioneering work in Central America . In 1972 ACES joined the International Automobile Federation FIA and the Federación Interamericana de Automóvil Clubes (FITAC) based in Buenos Aires .
Services
The ACES currently has over 60,000 members and offers services such as towing services, insurance, fuel discounts, driver safety training and traffic training for school children. ACES operates driving schools and issues the international driver's license.
The towing services are available nationwide and breakdown services are also available in the urban areas of San Salvador, San Miquel and Santa Ana .
GPS center
Roadside assistance for haulage companies is controlled by a nationwide GPS service . The ACES Seguridad GPS center monitors the locations and movements of vehicles all year round on a 24-hour basis and is also a security device against theft of vehicles and freight for logistics companies .
Motorsport
ACES is involved in the Autódromo Internacional El Jabali race track and organizes national and international motorsport events.
