Edvardas Raugalas

Edvardas Raugalas (born March 24, 1942 in Užubaliai , Ukmergė district ) is a Lithuanian politician and vice minister .

Life

From 1949 to 1956 he learned in Laičiai . After graduation from 1956 to 1959 at the 1st Middle School Ukmergė he graduated from 1959 to 1965 the diploma studies at Kauno politechnikos institutas and 1969-1973 the post graduate course at the Technical University in Brno ( Czech Republic ). In December 1973 he received his doctorate in technical sciences on the subject of "Optimizing the shape of the defibrillation pulse" ("Defibriliacinio impulso formos optimizavimas"). From 1965 to 1968 he taught at Kauno politechnikumas . From 1968 to 1969 he was an engineer at the laboratory of Kauno medicinos institutas and from 1974 to 1993 he was a research assistant at the Research Institute for Cardiology . From 1993 to 1996 he was a correspondent for the newspaper " Valstiečių laikraštis ". From 1996 to 1997 he was head of Žemės tarnyba (Lithuanian Land Office). From 1998 to 2009 he was deputy director of the Kaunas branch of VĮ " Registrų centras ". From 2009 to 2012 he was Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania , Deputy to Kazimieras Starkevičius (* 1956) in the Cabinet of Kubilius II .

He is married. He and Mrs. Rasa have daughters Indrė and Jonė.
