Ring of German Girl Scout Associations

The Ring of German Girl Scout Associations (RDP) is the umbrella organization of three Girl Scout Associations in Germany, based in Berlin . The RDP is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

The partner organization and “male” counterpart is the Ring of German Scout Associations (RdP with d ).

In 2018, the Association of Muslim Scouts and Girl Scouts in Germany was accepted as a connecting association.

In 2012 a total of 51,749 Girl Scouts were members of the RDP. VCP and PSG report both female and male members, the BdP only reports female members.

The WAGGGS only allows one association as a member per country, which is why the German scout associations have founded the RDP as an umbrella organization. The RDP was accepted as an associate member there in 1950 and a full member in 1954.

Since 2007 there has been a ring scarf for joint events of the ring, which is also used by the ring of German scout associations. For the 23rd World Scout Jamboree 2015 in Japan, all German scouts will be wearing a common, uniform scout costume for the first time .
