The Rishengchang Financial Institution ( Chinese  日 昇 昌 票 號  /  日 升 昌 票 号 , Pinyin Rishengchang piaohao , English Rishengchang Exchange Shop ) in Pingyao City ( 平遥 ), Shanxi Province , China , was one of the first financial institutions ( piaohao ) in the chinese history. It was founded in 1823 and is one of the so-called Shanxi banks ( Shanxi piaohao). This was the first time money transfers were made through this bank. The bank, which operates with an increasing network of branches, existed until the end of the Qing Dynasty and did business not only in China, but also throughout East Asia.

The former financial institution is now a museum and has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-484) since 2006 .
