Rita Griesshaber

Rita Grießhaber (born May 27, 1950 in Bad Dürrheim ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After studying pedagogy at the universities in Tübingen and Berlin , Grießhaber trained as a librarian. In 1991 she became a member of the Greens. From 1989 to 1994 she was a city councilor in Freiburg. She was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state board of the Greens from 1993 to 1995 and 1999 to 2003. From 1994 to 2002 she was a member of the Bundestag for the Schwarzwald-Baar district. Since 1998 she has been a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE . She works primarily on the subjects of the United Nations , foreign cultural policy and on countries such as the USA, Iran and the Maghreb . She is married and has a son.
