The Emden manor is a manor in the Emden district of the Altenhausen community in Saxony-Anhalt . It is a listed building as a monument.

history

The castle was probably built between the 11th and 13th centuries. In 1485 it came into the possession of the Counts von der Schulenburg and was the ancestral seat of a side line until the middle of the 19th century. The manor house was built in 1530, the manor house was built in its current form in 1676. Due to the expropriation in September 1945 as a result of the Second World War , the noble family lost their property rights. Today the manor is privately owned.

The castle was built as a simple two-story mansion with twelve window axes and a hipped roof . It is located in an English-style walled park.
