The Knightly Order of the Ladies of the Sash was founded in 1388 by Don Juan I of Castile .

Whether it is a renewal of the already by Alfonso XI. It is an order founded by Castile in 1330 and named as the Order of Sashes, or whether there were two separate orders , cannot be clarified.
