Scribing technique

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The scoring technique is in the surgery of the protruding ears a method in which the cartilage on the front side of the to be formed anthelix is grooved or scribed. In this way, the cartilage bends convexly towards the opposite side, causing the ear to move towards the skull. Sutures used to bend the anthelix are not required. Is a typical representative of this technique in the traditional Otopexien the otoplasty surgery after Stenstrom and the special forms of otoplasty surgery, the method of Fritsch, Kaye, Mouly, Peled and Tramier.
