Rival Consoles

Ryan Lee West (born November 10, 1985 in Leicester ) is a British music producer and DJ . He appears under the pseudonym Rival Consoles and produces electronic ambient music with the help of mostly analog devices . He lives and works in London and is under contract with the London label Erased Tapes Records .

Life

West already played guitar in his youth and learned other instruments such as the violin. After a growing interest in electronic music production, he studied music production at De Montfort University in his hometown of Leicester. After completing his studies, he started producing music and performing as a DJ under the pseudonym Aparatec and later as Rival Consoles . In 2007 he was signed to the London label Erased Tapes and made his debut with "The Decadent EP". In addition to his individual releases, Rival Consoles produced the record "65 / Milo" in 2009 together with Kiasmos , the minimal duo Janus Rasmussens and Ólafur Arnalds .

West currently lives and works in London and performs alongside I Break Horses in the United Kingdom as well as in the United States .
