The Rivian R1T is a battery-electric powered pick-up from the US manufacturer Rivian , it was presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2018 . Production will start in 2020. The T in the name stands for truck. In July 2020 it was announced that deliveries to customers in the USA would begin in June 2021.

Each wheel has a separate wheel hub motor . This enables the high trailer load. The vehicle is equipped for semi-autonomous driving according to level 3 and designed for road traffic as well as for off-road driving .
