Robert "Robbie" Dunn (born July 6, 1960 , Paisley ) is a former Australian football player and coach, who was born in Scotland . Dunn also works as a radio commentator for 6RPH Information Radio (Perth).

Player career

Robbie Dunn has played for numerous Australian clubs. Among other things, he played with Preston Makedonia in the National Soccer League . In 1991 he moved to Hong Kong to the record champions South China AA with whom he won both the Hong Kong First Division League and all national cup competitions. After this successful year Dunn moved to Malaysia to Selangor FA , where he played for half a year. By the end of his career in 1996, the defender was again active for various clubs in his native Australia.

National team

Between 1985 and 1988 Robbie Dunn was also part of the Australian national soccer team . Among other things, he was part of the squad at the 1988 Summer Olympics , where he and his team were eliminated in the quarter-finals 3-0 against the eventual winner of the USSR .

Coaching career

Robbie Dunn's only coaching position was from 2007 to 2009 as David Mitchell's assistant coach at the Australian first division club Perth Glory .
