The Robert-Janker-Klinik is a specialist clinic for radiation therapy and radio-oncology , palliative medicine , neuroradiology and radiology in Bonn . It is operated by MediClin AG . The clinic is located in the Dottendorf district of Bonn . The historic Dottendorf Castle is also located on the site .

history

The clinic was founded in 1937 by the radiologist and surgeon Robert Janker as the "X-ray and light institute Janker". The institute was partially destroyed in World War II. Janker rebuilt it and expanded it into a radiation clinic in 1948. The clinic has been part of the MediClin AG clinic network since 1998 . In this context, the company moved to the Dottendorf district.

The Robert Janker Clinic has 83 beds. In 2014, 1268 inpatients were treated there.

Treatment priorities

In the Robert-Janker-Klinik, cancer is diagnosed and treated both on an outpatient and inpatient basis. All tumors can be treated with radiation techniques. The oncological center of the specialist clinic is the only non-university facility in Germany with devices for high-precision radiation. The neuroradiology and radiologist division is dedicated to imaging diagnostics for diseases of the brain, the spinal cord and the spine.
