history
Dottendorf Castle was a free aristocratic knight seat . In 1491 the castle was first mentioned in a document. The owners were the gentlemen von Büchel. Since 1684 the castle was owned by the Wasserfass family. In 1850, the Endeich factory owner Carl Baunscheidt acquired the knight's castle Dottendorf. He had the old castle demolished and a completely new building built in 1895. The property was then owned by the Boudriot family.
The castle belonged to the Heukamp family until 2010, who renovated the castle in the 1990s and housed a guest house. In June 2010 the Bonn Birthplace and the Center for Primary Health moved there.
