Carl Baunscheidt
Carl Friedrich Baunscheidt (born December 16, 1809 in Baunscheidt ; † October 1, 1873 in Endenich ) was a trade teacher , wheelwright , mechanic and inventor .
Life
Baunscheidt manufactured arable and planting equipment and initially sold smaller inventions such as a rifle sight or a breast pump . Based on its 1847 made development of an artificial leech , developed Baunscheidt 1848 needlestick device 'Life alarm' and the eponymous baunscheidtism , This method quickly spread in Germany and among German emigrants, especially in the USA . Having made fortunes, he became the owner of Dottendorf Castle near Bonn.
