The castle Limperich is a former castle in Limperich , a district of Bonn city district Beuel in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The castle was first mentioned in 1285 as a property of a noble family and also served as the seat of the Lords of Limperich. The property was sold to Frank Nesselrode in 1688, who transformed it into a baroque mansion.
The castle has undergone a lot of renovation, conversion, relocation and demolition work and is therefore no longer a property today, but rather resembles an ordinary house with a large plot of land. Since it was rented in 1964, it has served as the clubhouse of the Bonn local association of the German Amateur Radio Club (G03) and the Bonner Funkamateure Interest Group for the Promotion of International Understanding and International Sentiment (IGBF). The building with the address Weinbergweg 34 stands as a monument under monument protection .
