history

Chroustov was the ancestral seat of the noble family Chroustenský of Malovar . The place was first mentioned in 1353 as the seat of Ježek Jan Chroustenský. The Chroustenský fortress was located in the center of the village on the site of house number 3. In the following two centuries, the Chroustenský family branched out and expanded their estates considerably. 1557 belonged to the Chroustenský the rule Velké Meziříčí and the goods Měřín , Cerna , Dědkov, Chlumek , Jersín , Deutsch Rudoletz , Kyjov and Bochdalau . In 1558, Chroustov consisted of 13 farms and five kötners, plus two emigrants. Chroustov was initially subordinate to Bochdalau. At the end of the 16th century, Jan Rafael Chroustenský moved his seat to Cerna. After the battle of the White Mountain , its goods were confiscated and in 1623 to Rambold XIII. sold by Collalto . The Counts Collalto San Salvatore owned the property until 1945. Since 1670 there is evidence of a judge in Chraustow. In 1840, 252 people lived in the village's 35 houses.

After the replacement of patrimonial Chroustov formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Bohdalov in the district administration Neustadtl . On January 10, 1889, the political municipality Chroustov was established. The school was built in 1894. In 1949 it was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1961 Chroustov was again incorporated into Bohdalov. In 1991 the place had 216 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 68 houses in which 206 people lived.
