Robert Krünert

Emil Karl Robert Krünert ( April 14, 1866 in Berlin - after 1941) was a German fencer. He took part in the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games and the 1908 Olympic Games in London. His club was the German-Italian fencing club Berlin.

Life and Achievements

Krünert was 3rd with the saber at a tournament held in Berlin in 1906. In the same year he fought in saber singles at the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens. Both in the competition for three hits and in the saber competition for one hit, he was eliminated in the first round.

In 1908 he took part in the Olympic Games in London, where he was eliminated in the first round in both epee singles and with the saber. With the saber team, he shared 5th place with Jakob Erckrath de Bary , Fritz Jack and August Petri .

Krünert worked as a municipal teacher in Berlin. He was a member of the gymnastics association of Berlin teachers .
