Robert L. Smith (Entomologist)

Robert Lloyd Smith is an American entomologist .

Smith received his bachelor's and master's degrees in biology from New Mexico State University and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University . He is interested in the evolution of insect reproductive strategies, especially the competition between sperm, parental investment and the insect egg. In his projects he also studies termites and water bugs (Heteroptera). He is an Associate Professor at the University of Arizona .
