Robert Schaddach (born September 29, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2006 .

biography

Robert Schaddach is the son of the Cameroonian diplomat Eli al Matip and the pediatrician Marion Schaddach and grew up in Finland , Spain , Russia , North Korea , Mexico and New Zealand . After graduating from high school, he did his military service as a medic in the People's Navy from 1985 to 1988 . From 1988 to 1989 he worked as a judicial secretary and from 1989 to 1990 he was chairman of the election commission of East Berlin .

After the fall of the Wall , he studied law, business administration and sociology from 1990 to 1996 as a scholarship holder of the Heinrich Böll Foundation . Professionally, he then carried out various activities in the areas of data protection and marketing.

Schaddach joined the SPD in 1995 and has been a member of the Treptow-Köpenick district executive since 2001. In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2006 he was directly elected in the constituency of Treptow-Köpenick 4 . In the 2011 and 2016 parliamentary elections , he defended his direct mandate in constituency 4.
