Robert Weber (civil engineer)

Robert Weber (* 1928 ) is a German civil engineer and university professor, author of several specialist books on concrete and a decisive contributor to the relevant DIN and EU standards.

His best-known work is Guter Beton , the 22nd edition of which was published by Bau + Technik at the end of 2007 . It also explains the new European concrete standard so that Weber's tried and tested reference work can now also be used more widely in Austria and Switzerland in addition to Germany.

Weber's area of ​​activity also includes work on test and product standards for cement , concrete additives and aggregates .

He did his doctorate in the 1950s as a Dr.-Ing. and has been researching the building materials concrete and cement since 1960, when he started working for the Federal Association of the German Cement Industry in Cologne . The following positions as building consultant, managing director, successful non-fiction author and university lecturer gave him a sounding name in the industry.

Since his retirement he has been increasingly available as a technology consultant to the specialist magazine “beton”.
