The Kirchentellinsfurter Baggersee is a swimming lake near Kirchentellinsfurt in the Tübingen district . The 1.2 km long and up to 250 m wide Stretch is 1929-1984 by gravel surface mining of the company Karl & Ernst Epple emerged. Wedged between Schönbuch and B 27 on one side and the Neckar on the other, it almost completely fills the narrow valley area. In 1984 gravel mining was stopped.

In the period from November 1st up to and including February 28th, driving on the quarry pond is prohibited for nature conservation reasons.

The lake, which still belongs to the Epple company but is open to the public, has around 100,000 visitors a year and is used by numerous people in the region between the cities of Stuttgart , Tübingen and Reutlingen in their free time for swimming, fishing, sailing and surfing .
