history
Kirchentellinsfurt has grown together from the two settlements Kirchen and Tälisfurt (means something like ford in the small valley ). The older Kirchen was first mentioned in 1007 as "Kirihheim" . In this document the village was given to the diocese of Bamberg . In 1140, under the rule of Matthäus Raster (1098–1158), a union of the two communities was sealed. Later, Kirchentellinsfurt was temporarily owned by Bavaria, under Austrian rule and later by the neighboring Bebenhausen monastery . After Duke Ludwig had bought Kirchentellinsfurt in 1593, his successor, Duke Friedrich , appointed Anastasius Kommerell in 1594 as the first Protestant pastor to introduce the Reformation in the village and the surrounding lands.
At the time of the Duchy of Württemberg the place was at the Tübingen office, from which the Oberamt of the same name emerged in 1758. When the new administrative structure was implemented in the Kingdom of Württemberg , which was founded in 1806 , the assignment of Kirchentellinsfurt to the Upper Office of Tübingen was confirmed. Due to the district reform during the Nazi era in Württemberg , Kirchentellinsfurt came to the Tübingen district in 1938.
Towards the end of the Second World War , German troops blew up the Neckar Bridge and originally wanted to defend the community from Talstrasse .
In 1945 the place became part of the French occupation zone and thus came to the newly founded state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern , which was incorporated into the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952.

She received a pyramid-shaped spire, above the north entrance a relief of Martin by Ulrich Henn and three lead-glazed choir windows (Trinity) by Adolf Valentin Saile . Altar and pulpit as well as organ were completely renewed. The barrel-vaulted sacristy was also torn down and replaced by a new building. A church tower renovation took place in 2015 and an interior renovation in 2018. The crucifix is still late Gothic.
