Roberto Leopardi , full name Roberto Rafael Leopardi , (born July 19, 1933 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Midfielder Leopardi was in the ranks of the Uruguayan first division club Nacional Montevideo from 1952 to 1957 . In 1952, 1955, 1956 and 1957, the Bolsos won the Uruguayan championship in the Primera División . He then moved to Italy to CFC Genoa . For the Northern Italians, he completed 22 league games in the 1957/58 season and scored one goal. In 1958/59 he was used there in 21 or 23 games, depending on the sources. In the 1959/60 season he played 21 Serie A matches for Lanerossi Vicenza . At least 1965 he was still in the ranks of the Venezuelan club Deportivo Galicia .

National team

Leopardi was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed seven international matches from his debut on April 10, 1954 to his last appearance on June 24, 1956. He did not score an international goal. He took part in the 1954 World Cup with Uruguay . In the course of the competition, however, it was not used. Leopardi was also part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championships in 1955 in Chile and in 1956 in Uruguay. He won the 1956 tournament with Celeste.
