Roberto Petrocchi
Roberto Petrocchi (born December 16, 1956 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and author.
Petrocchi graduated in literary studies and sociology and from 1978 took courses in directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia . Between 1985 and 1999 he directed three films based on his own material, of which Illiminazioni was awarded numerous prizes at festivals, but hardly had any chance of regular distribution. In addition to working for television, he also published a volume of poetry, which received an award in 1992. In 2003 Petrocchi founded the Un libro da vedere initiative ; in addition, he is also committed to film-related topics.
Petrocchi should not be confused with the economist of the same name.
