Robin Lung is an American filmmaker with Chinese roots.

Life

Robin Lung lives in Honolulu , Hawaii . She produces short and documentary films . Robin Lung has rendered outstanding services to the documentary Kukan (subtitle: The Battle Cry of China ), which was believed to be lost for decades and was awarded an honorary Oscar in 1942 , which is currently being restored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences . The movie Kukan, one by Rey Scott and Li Ling-Ai16 mm color film produced under difficult conditions (running time of the first version: 90 minutes, later versions were shortened to 60 minutes), thematizes the occupation of China by the Japanese Imperial Army during the Second World War. Robin Lung is working on a documentary about why the film was lost and how the film was found. The film is called Finding Kukan .
