The Rocher Jakobsen ( French ) is a headland with a steep cliff on the west coast of the Pétrel Island in the Géologie Archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland .
French scientists named them after the Norwegian Guttorm Jakobsen (1911-1995), captain of the research vessel Norsel in the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949-1952) and in two French Antarctic expeditions (1955-1956, 1956-1957).
