Rockow is a district of Möllenhagen and is part of the Penzliner Land ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It is located on the B 192, approx. 15 km east of Waren (Müritz) on a small lake.

Rockow was first mentioned in 1573. As a dairy , the place belonged to Klein Plasten at that time . Rockow was managed as an independent estate by Carl Friedrich Sponholz around 1800 . From 1812 to 1817 the estate was managed by a relative of Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher . From 1823 to 1840 the estate was owned by J. Meincke . Until 1937, the owners changed more frequently. The last owner Paul Sturbeck was expropriated in 1945 as part of the land reform .

Due to its location on the edge of the Müritz National Park , Rockow is a popular holiday resort. In terms of the church, Rockow still belongs to Klein Plasten .
